A very happy new year!

Wishing everyone a very happy and exciting new year! 2009 promises to bring our family a big change, and one we couldn't be more thrilled or happy about.

We can't wait to meet you, baby Thor (nickname). We love you so much already.

As if our wonderful son wasn't enough to ring in the new year... I won a couple of prizes this week! A big THANK YOU to Thrifty and Chic Mom for the Lychee Cabrio Clutch, isn't it gorgeous?!

Flip Ultra Giveaway

Have you seen the Flip Ultra video camera?

I'm in love with it. Small and compact, it's easy to stash in your purse for spur of the moment recording. It also has a built-in USB cable, so there's no hassle with uploading the videos to your computer.

It's something I know I would buy and use. As opposed to the larger cameras that probably sit in most people's closets and rarely come out for video taping life's best moments.

Organic Baby Resource

I feel lucky to have so many organic choices for Thor, although the world and our economy still have a lot of changing to do. After first getting pregnant though, I had a lot of learning to do! Where does a new mom start??

One good place is the Organic Baby Resource. Tons of great info, organized by topics (nutrition, diapers, toys, baby showers, etc) based on your particular interest, and they offer monthly giveaways (score!).

Hottest Holiday Toys of 2008

The blogosphere is buzzing with gift guides, and Christmas Countdown Giveaways! If you haven't seen what I'm talking about, you must be living under a rock.

I love browsing the gift guides, seeing the various styles and tastes of each mom and especially reading opinions if they've used the toys/clothes/books/etc with their kids. Being a soon-to-be new mom, having honest mom reviews and resources for baby prep has been invaluable. A big 'thank you' to all you mom bloggers!

Today I read a post titled the Hottest Holiday Toys of 2008, and I thought they were right on target! At least, many of the toys fit with my taste and preferences. There were toys for the older kids and younger set, wooden/eco-friendly options, and some tried & true classic favorites.

A cyber-shower! Fun

Sarah, from Sassyfrazz, is having baby #4 - awesome! And Pamela Kramer, from Happy Panda (love them!), is hosting a cyber-baby shower for her. I love cyber-parties. Ok, ok. I love ALL parties!!
